New Season/New Blog :)
I have had in my mind wanting to switch topics for my blog and as I come upon summer (it is already averaging in the high 70's, so summer literally does feel just around the corner), I thought now would be a perfect time. I want to focus on how the girls and I fill our days. I read an article today in a local parent's magazine focusing on day camps and other activities where you send your child away for the day, and in some cases days. This may definitely work for some families, but after having the preschool year filled with routines the thought of having freedom to choose day to day activities and keep my kids close sounds nothing short of heavenly. I do have bursts of creativity and I hope that by documenting our daily adventures it will inspire my creative juices. I also hope that after writing I hear from other moms about how you are filling your days and, don't worry, I will then copy your ingenious ideas!
On a side note, I cannnot let this blog go by without mentioning that this week, I will be celebrating not one but two of my very oldest, dearest friends becoming first time moms. Even though we are at different stages of parenting it will be fun to see their input on ideas and feedback on how they are filling their days (this may be as simple as trying to catch a nap while the baby sleeps:)
Happy (almost) summer to all of my favorite moms out there!
Can't wait to read about your wonderful summer! Hope the girls will be spending some of those days together! :-) Look forward to spending more time with all of you!

Oh, I look forward to tips on how to spend our days as a new mommy!
ReplyDeleteHere's mine: Today i was watching a 1 y.o. while his mom had an appointment. It is a dreary, rainy, chilly day here, and going outdoors was pretty much out. So I invited over another mom. I made a HUGE fort using our kitchen table, a queen sheet, 2 blankets, 3 chairs and 6 rubber bands. The fort was up from 10 am until 6pm and there were tears when it came down. This may be my new rainy day gimmick. So.... I'm excited to hear your stories. inspire me! I could use it!
